Raunds Lodge Nursing Home will always provide its service users with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well being and comfort are of prime importance.
The management and staff will endeavour to maintain the individuality, independence, dignity and respect those in our care. We will ensure the staff and service users enjoy happy and homely atmosphere at all times.

Details of Staff

There is a Registered General Nurse on duty 24 hours who is supported by care staff over various shift patterns ( early / late / night ). Ancillary staff cover laundry and house keeping including catering staff for home made meals everyday. Our staff are selected for their qualities of reliability, integrity, caring nature, skill, friendliness and professionalism. We request at least two references and an enhanced DBS check. All new staff are given in-house induction training by a senior staff in the following:

  • Code of conduct including: Principles of care, Introduction to care
  • Confidentiality
  • The rights of Service users including: Mental capacity, Depravation of liberty safeguards
  • Health & Safety including: Moving and Handling, Fire training, First aid
  • Food hygiene & Safety
  • Personal care tasks
  • Nursing assistants responsibility, including Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
  • Use of equipment

All new staff will complete an induction form. We encourage our Nursing Assistants to develop their skills in Health and Social Care. We have criteria that all new employees undertake this training within six months of commencement. There are various in house training courses provided by external trainers. There is further potential for staff development through the use of training videos in various topics. Our staff are also sent to training college for more in depth training.
